*Dancers are asked to take the same class levels that they are registered in during the prior season.

Children's Dance Camp

During this fun five day camp dancers will work on ballet, Jazz, and classical variations.
This camp provides an intense focus on ballet while the dancers bond and build lasting friendships over the week.
Parents are invited to a special performance on the last day!
Dress code during Ballet Class:
(Girls) should be in pink tights and pink ballet slippers with a pink, short sleeved leotard.
Mid-length to long hair is required to be pulled back into a neat bun and fastened securely using pins.
Short hair needs to be fastened away from the face.
(Boys) should be in a short-sleeved white shirt with black shorts, thin white crew-length socks and black or white ballet shoes.

Ballet![]() David Arce David ARCE was named the Artistic Director for the Juline Foundation for Children's Juline Regional Youth Ballet in 2010. Born in San Diego, California, he began his ballet training at Ballet Yuma in Yuma, Arizona with Jon Cristofori and Kathy Sinclair. He continued his training with the highly prestigious San Francisco Ballet School and was named Apprentice of San Francisco Ballet in 1998. ModernDaniel Wilkins Daniel Wilkins graduated from School of American Ballet performing principal roles in the graduation workshop at Lincoln Center. Wilkins went on to dance professionally with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Donald Byrd/The Group, Spectrum Dance Theater, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Suzanne Farrell Ballet among others. Daniel formed DASSdance in 1996, with the intention to push the athletic and architectural limits of dance. An integral part of his artistic vision is 20 years experience in sports such as wrestling, basketball and baseball as well as a curiosity in visual art that began with employment at the Guggenheim Museum, and remained with him to fuel his All-Terrain / multimedia choreographic endeavors. DASSdance inaugurated Diane von Furstenberg -The Theater in 2000 and has performed five world premieres with original costumes by DVF. DASSdance has also performed seasons at the JoyceSoho (NYC), Baryshnikov Arts Center (NYC), HundredGrand Soho (NYC) and the Bagley Wright Theater (Seattle) including residencies at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center (Seattle) and currently at Washington Hall (Seattle). Wilkins has been commissioned nationally and internationally, including for the Chrysler Salon, Spectrum Dance Theater’s Northwest Best, Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle Gilbert and Sullivan Society, Flux Laboratory in Switzerland, Arts for Art NYC as well as film and commercial projects. Wilkins has been featured in New York Magazine, Flaunt Magazine, the New York Times, Seattle Times and named one of Paper Magazine's 50 most beautiful people. Saturday Dancer Health Seminar
JACQUI G HAAS, ATC
Mercy Health Performing Arts Program Manager Director, Dance Medicine Academic Seminars Author, Dance Anatomy Jacqui is a licensed athletic trainer and currently the Performing Arts Medicine Program Manager for Mercy Health at Cincinnati Ballet. She grew up in Sanford, Florida taking ballet, tap and jazz at the School of Dance Arts. She continued to have a professional ballet career having danced with Cincinnati Ballet, New Orleans City Ballet, Cleveland Ballet, Southern Ballet Theatre and was also an apprentice with Boston Ballet. While working with Cincinnati Ballet Jacqui trained with the late James Truitte in the Horton technique. While in Cincinnati Ballet, Jacqui worked with David McLain, Ivan Nagy, Frederick Franklin, John Butler and Ruth Adrian to name a few. She has a BA in Dance from the University of South Florida and her Athletic Training certificate from the University of Cincinnati. While attending University of South Florida she studied Ballet with Richard Sias and the Merce Cunningham technique with the late Chase Robinson. Ms. Haas has certifications in Pilates instruction from St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco and Pilates for Rehabilitation from Polestar Education in Miami. She is also the Director of Dance Medicine Academic Seminars, speaking to dancers and healthcare practitioners throughout the United States on performing arts medicine and injury prevention. She has taught her workshops at Spectrum Dance Theatre in Seattle, West Virginia Dance Festival, Miami Valley Dance Teachers Association, Kentucky Ballet Theatre, Texas A and M Dance Dept., Florida Dance Masters and University of Cincinnati Dance Dept. to name a few. She has also presented dance medicine topics in Anaheim, St. Louis, Philadelphia, New Orleans and Las Vegas for the National Athletic Trainers Association. Jacqui is proud to be the author of “Dance Anatomy”, the 1 st and 2 nd editions, a Human Kinetics publication. She has been a performing arts athletic training resource for the Greater Cincinnati Area since 1989 and a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science since 2006. Ms. Haas is also excited to be teaching Dance Physiology and Foundations at Northern Kentucky University, School of the Arts. Ms. Haas is currently working with Northern Kentucky University on her Masters in Integrative Studies with a focus on Health Sciences. |
