 FAQs

  • Parents often ask about the perfect age to start dance class. The truth is, it depends on your child’s enthusiasm! Ideal young dancers are eager to learn, has started basic listening skills, and have some coordination. This ensures a fun and enriching experience for everyone. Dancers also must be potty trained.

  • We encourage parents to place their toddlers in classes based by age. Each level is age appropriate that gives students exposure to the rhythm and coordination skills they’ll need to move to music; exploring their new talents with their new friends.

  • Parents with children of any age can watch our classes! We have a lobby area downstairs with viewing windows.

  • Although we love seeing our adorable young students in frilly tutus and sparkly outfits, we ask parents to follow our dress code, which includes practical attire that will help young learners to move as instructed.

    Dress code during ballet class:

Option 1- Should be in pink tights and pink ballet slippers with a pink, short sleeved leotard with attached skirt. (Tap’ N Tumble need black tap shoes.) Mid- Length to long hair is required to be pulled back into a neat bun or secured from the face. Short hair needs to be fastened away from the face.

Option 2- Should be in a short-sleeved white shirt with black shorts, thin white crew-length socks and black or white ballet sheos (Tap’ N Tumble will need black tap shoes.) Long hair should be pulled back.

  • Our toddlers classes are a great fit for these energetic youngsters! We introduce them to a few dance basics, but more importantly, we help them get comfortable moving their bodies and expressing themselves through music. It’s a supportive, fun, and participatory environment that naturally transitions them into our Foundations Program.

  • There are a few ways parents can help reinforce the skills and routines toddlers are learning in class. First, make sure to talk with your toddler about what they should expect before the first class, including what they will wear, bring, and do. You can aso encourage them to ask any questions they may have about the class. Feel free to bring your toddler by the studio so they can see it beforehand!

After the first lessons, encourage your young dancer to show off the skills and routines they’re learning in class. Revisiting them at home can give toddlers the chance to practice their routines.

  • Hopefully, these quick insights on our toddler dance classes have made you feel more comfortable about trusting us with your inspiring dancer!
