8 Week Summer Session & Intensive
Connecting dancers to the community with
performance opportunities and industry-level training.
PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
For students who wish to pursue a higher level of training in dance, leadership, and creative exploration, this is the program to join. To maintain a high level of excellence, many dancers take classes 3-6 days a week. When your dancer graduates they will have the capabilities to study at a collegiate or entry level professional school. Every dancer has their own path to explore and it doesn’t need to end at graduation.
Dancers who enter this program will receive an invitation to join our performing company, Peninsula Dance Theatre (PDT). Through this additional program dancers are able to further their training and increase their performance experiences.

Summer Intensive
Int/Adv Levels
Ignite Your Artistry: A Week of Technique, Strength, and Original Creation
Dive deep into your craft with our comprehensive Summer Intensive, designed for the dancer who is ready to bridge the gap between technique and creativity. Each day begins with a rigorous foundation in daily Ballet and Contemporary classes, complemented by Pilates for our intermediate group to build the core stability and alignment necessary for elite performance. Dancers will also explore the nuances of classical and neo-classical repertoire in our Variations sessions.
The heart of our intensive lies in Choreography Composition. Each day, dancers gather to explore diverse methods of creating original work. We provide the essential tools for dancers to find their own choreographic voice, practice designing movement sequences on their peers, and build these phrases into a short, original work to be shared at the end of the week. Join us for a transformative week where you learn to create beyond your training.

We want to make sure our dancers are staying safe and hydrated during their classes, so we ask that they bring a water bottle into the studio and place it in a cubby to reduce the traffic going in and out of the studio during class time. They will be given 1 water break half way through class, and can take additional sips of water if need (especially in the warmer months).
